This is a new/unissued in original package, US GI M17 series gas mask mask hood. This hood provides the soldier with head neack and upper back coverage. Hood fits snuggly around mask, has a cinch neck cord and adjustable velcro'd under arm straps. Tag says Hood, Chemical Biological. This is for the hood only. NSN# 4240-00-999-0420. THIS IS FOR THE HOOD ONLY THAT FITS AROUND THE MASK. THE PICTURE IS AN EXAMPLE. IT HAS NO EYE RINGS, ETC.
