A Collector's Piece
Hard to believe just thirty years ago we considered items like this as "compact" and "powerful." If you are buying this as a primary headlamp, yes there are way better options. But if you are buying this as a reserve or maybe as a collector piece, then spot on! USFS spec generally translates to a durable product. Thick plastic housing for battery and the lens. Straps on mine are a little dry-rotted (but easy to replace). Bulb is your old fashioned incandescent type (with spare). The O-rings are a little dry rotted, but are easy to replace. Overall good price if you want a backup or wish to outdoors in 1990s style!
