Only vendor on the intertubes that sells it
I have two pair so far. Waxed one pair for more waterproofness. Lots of potential uses: Expensive shoe covers when you don't have real ones, Body part bag for one body part, warmer thing for when the wife is cold {+1), shallow waders if you missed the Polish hip wader sale (different vendor), survival overboot to stuff with grass {+1), and whatever you think of.
Yeah, buy a few pair. -

I was looking for this for a long time and then I found this. I am very happy with it and had ordered 2, one for me and one for my son. I know that he will like it too.

FRENCH MILITARY BOOT COVERS
These are crazy cool. I searched thoroughly and ASW is the only place on the web that has them. The only mark is Omaha Paris surrounding 1983 in a circle. I sprayed silicone waterproofing inside and out. Only whinge is that the top ties are almost too short.

not fantastic for their intended purpose, (except maybe wearing over shoes in dirt or sand), but the material is sturdy, and these make great mini stuff sacks for organization.

Mine appeared to be unissued. Obviously been treated with some kind of waterproofing. While a rubber overboot would be more effective this is a great item if you want something that doesnt take a lot of space or can be rolled up in a pack.
