Cleaned them by soaking over night in simple green (lemon) these are a made to fit the ruger 10/22 100 round drum. I mean a perfect fit.

Works better for canteen cup and stove kit then the standard Alice canteen cover.

The Arctic covers are new with NSN numbers
Must squeeze the canteen and cup into the pouch the first time. Start with just the canteen and press hard into the cover. Add the cup to the cover and press again. Slightly offset the canteen cup left and right on the canteen and press. About 5 minutes as one watched TV. Eventually, it will loosen more as it ages.

Interesting
The one I got is definitely a vintage, old school Cold War look to it. It fits a bit tight over the Arctic canteen and cup at bottom, making buttons a little tough to snap with cold fingers. This was after I wetted the cotton and dried it to form around canteen and cup. But, I like it's style and leave it out at night when camping for quick water access.
