GI Spec Matchbox is a copy of the original US Military version that will hold enough matches for a weekend trip or any survival bug-out bag. It is made from lightweight and durable plastic, giving it plenty of wear and impact resistance when out in the field exploring. They feature a waterproof top with rubber gasket to create a watertight seal. Can also be used a pill box if necessary.

Unique. Short.
Shorter than others on the retail market. Striking surface on inside of cap, no mirror. No ferro rodlet on base, although the case is molded to hold one. Retail versions hols an 18650 cell; this doesn't. Still holds matches and keeps them dry. (pro tip: put teflon tape on threads.)

A different fave vendor sells capsules that fit various battery sizes. I own some. When you're storing extra 18650 cells, and you don't need to spend $30 to clip one on your MOLLE loadout, this puppy is the ticket.
Plus, you can put matches in it. But don't. Put dry tinder in it and use the built in micro ferro rod. Use tne mirror to admire your rugged individualistic self. It sucks for signalling. Not the vendor's fault. {Still.buying more.)

Just Like Dad's
