Im 6ft 2inch and a 36 waist and this belt length is on the far end of pushing it for that waist size. If your waist is 36 and youre planning on securing any thing on to this belt good luck. The belt width is 2" and the canvas material is plenty thick. A normal dress belt is 1.5, so it looks like a decent duty belt. The clasp clips in for quickly taking on and off the belt and it came with signs it was once painted olive drab. I kept it in the metal and it polished right up to a bright shine with a little metal polish. It definitely has its pros and its cons. A big pro is they dont make belts like they used to. A big con is the smaller length for guys my size. Im guessing the Germans where smaller guys around that time.
